Research Description:

I am Research Director at the National Fund for Scientific Research (Belgium) and Head of the Marine Biology Laboratory at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. My research focuses on the relationships between environmental stressors and morphology, biomechanics, biochemistry and physiology of marine benthic organisms. Current topics include the effects of ocean acidification, phenotypic plasticity of calcium carbonate skeletons and ecotoxicology of metals in tropical aquacultured seaweeds.
